Field Hockey Team Sweeps Tournament

ImageThe Ephrata Mounts Field Hockey Team dominated the competition this past weekend at the Susquehanna TWP tournament. Both the JV and Varsity teams brought home the tournament trophies.

The Varsity Mounts opened up against host Susquehanna TWP and made quick work of them, scoring 4 unassisted goals. Kilee Rosenberry continued her scoring streak as she found the cage two times leading the Mounts to a 4-0 win. Callie Sweigart and Jenna Garber also scored for the Mounts.

In the second game the Mounts delivered another shutout this time 2-0 over Daniel Boone. Sweigart and Rosenberry scored again for the Mounts, while Marcy Dull added an assist.

The Mounts JV squad wasn't quite as dominate, but still managed two wins. They defeated Susquehanna TWP 6-2, and defeated Daniel Boone in OT 3-2. Tori Pagano (3 goals on the day) scored the game winning goal on a nice feed by Caitlin Strausser (1G, 2A). Emily Beamesderfer also had 2 goals and 1 assist on the day for the Lady Mounts.
