Dull leads Mounts to two wins

ImageMarcy Dull is on a roll. Coming into Tuesday's game versus Daniel Boone, Dull had 3 assists on the year, but no goals. In two games Dull scored 4 goals and has lifted the Mounts (5-1-1) past Daniel Boone, and helped separate them from Garden Spot in the standings.

Ephrata dominated Daniel Boone Tuesday. The Mounts outshot D.B. 18-7. Dull started the scoring for the Mounts in the first half, leading the Mounts to a 1-1 score at the break. But the Mounts constant shooting was too much for Wunderlich who made an impressive 15 saves. Callie Sweigart made it 2-1 and Dull iced the game with her second goal. Jenna Garber (2) and Katelyn Shelley had assists for the Mounts.

Last night Shelley scored her second goal of the season sliding one past the Spartans Beth Sitar (11 saves) in the first half. Dull then added two goals in the second half as the Mounts blanked the Spartans 3-0. Kira Shelley made 9 saves in goal earning her second shutout of the season.

The Lady Mounts next host a high powered Pioneer offense when Lampeter-Strasburg visits Ephrata this afternoon (9/22/05).
