Wrestlers Host Tournament

This weekend the Ephrata Mounts wrestling team hosted the 2006 Ephrata Duals. The 8 teams in attendance were Downingtown East, Columbia, Garden Spot, Cedar Crest, Reading, Hempfield, Daniel Boone, and Ephrata. Downingtown East was the champion, followed by Daniel Boone, Reading, Ephrata, Garden Spot, Columbia, Hempfield, and then Cedar Crest.
The Mounts opened up with a victory over Columbia before falling to Daniel Boone and then Reading in the 3rd place match. Three wrestlers went 3-0 on the day. They were Jared Becker at 135, Blake Crowther at 160, and Jordan Becker at 189. Rounding out the line-up were Mike Evans 1-2 at 112, Corey Horst 2-1 at 119, Mike Hanna 1-2 at 130, Pat Baker 0-3 at 140, David Belousov 0-3 at 152, Joel Yoder 1-2 at 171, Dylan Binkley 1-2 at 215, and Zach Zimmerman 2-1 at 285.
